This song contains over 140 lines of verse in nine stanzas, and I can't imagine that Cliar sang all of them!

Was there any sort of translation -- even in summary -- that would suggest which verses they did perform? I am dismayed at the prospect of having to type all that 18th-century Gaelic! Some guidance as to the verses required would be helpful.

If it comes to it, perhaps George Seto and I could share the task? (I'm looking at the Songs of Duncan Ban MacIntyre edited by Angus Macleod in the Scottish Gaelic Texts Society series, which also includes an English translation and a longish note to explain the background to the song.)
