Thread Name: BS: Children left behind in cars
Subject: BS: Children left behind in cars
Here in north Texas { where the temps are already in the 90's } we've already had several deaths of children in the last few weeks because their parents or caretakers have left them behind in a car. It doesn't take a child long to die from the heat in an enclosed car in the weather we have.
Does this happen in other parts of the country { and world } also ? We end up hearing that the adult was so busy that they forgot that the child was there. By the time they check the car again it's too late of course. How can someone be so busy that they forget they have a child with them ?? I guess I'm also suprised that the adult this happens to has almost always been a woman. I've only heard of one occasion where a man commited this crime - just recently up in Ohio.
I've only started hearing about this in the last few years. What is going on ? Have children lost their value ? Is this happening around the rest of the country and the world ? I'm baffeled.
