Thread Name: Lyr Req: Sundown settin' on a railroad track...
Subject: Origins: Second Hand Song Request
On another board someone posed this question...I was hoping the good Catters could help:

[quote]
Okay, I have this song that I heard about six years back and it's been stuck in my head lately, but I have no idea what it is called or who sings it which is starting to bug me. I have searched the Internet, posted to other boards, no luck. I would love to be able to buy a copy of this song, but that's a bit hard to do until I know the name and who sings it. From what I remember, it's guitar accompaniment with a couple of guys singing it. Here are the lyrics to the best I can recall... I hope someone else out there has heard this as I know I didn't just imagine it. Thanks!

Sara

Sundown settin' on a railroad track.
My thoughts are turning and I won't be back.
And now I'm thinkin' on the good times gone
And how this train will be moving on.

There's so much here for my destiny.
And now what's happened to the rest of me?
So step onto my memory train.
Enjoy the scenery and all that comes your way.

(Chorus:)
Because this train I'm on won't be traveling long.
There's a stop along the way for everyone.
And when you step down from that big ol' memory train,
Your bag's a little heavier, but your heart's about the same.

As I stand here and search the night,
Suddenly I see my dreams come into sight.
Across the distance I have come to meet the train.
And now I'll be moving on once again.

(Repeat Chorus)

And now as I hear that sound again,
I think on all the good times, and my old friends.
How many memories, how many heartbreaks,
How many memory trains, will go rolling on?
