27 years ago a garage was built on our plot (not by us) and unless the subsequent occupants painted the boards round the top, it's been that long since it was done. They were only in the place about 5 or 6 years. We've been in nearly 16 years, and we haven't done it. Under the algae it's looking a bit "weathered", and every year I look at it from the kitchen window and make a promise I know I won't keep. It's not as if I can get at all of it, as it's built into a corner. The front and left side are accessible from our garden, the back from next door, if I lean over their wall (they are set higher up than us). Unfortunately (or conveniently, depending on your point of view) their 10 foot leylandii hedge runs down the other side.

Now that I am learning Tai-Chi there is a danger that this may change: procrastination comes under the heading of "monkey thoughts", and I have just learned to "repulse the monkey".
Of course, all this depends on me actually getting round to doing it at home...
