Funny that this should come up on here today of all days: this afternoon and tomorrow I have over a hundred children performing a "Music Hall" as their end-of-year show (and my end-of-year almost-but-not-quite-end-of-tether !!)and along with the comic duos, the sketches, ventriloquism, prestidigitation and the melodrama featuring a possibly genuinely lethal Great Big Saw coming nearer and nearer, we have two girls reciting "Albert" and, for Essex girls, sounding astonishingly "noorthern".

Many thanks to all who replied to my request for "I say, I say" jokes earlier this year - they are being suitably groaned at !
