Thread Name: Lyr Req: The Going Home Song (Jim James)
Subject: RE: The Going Home Song
I've done some research in to Jim James. Here moved from the south of England up to Merseyside in the mid-60s and got involved in the local folk music scene. For a while he was teamed up with Raphael Callaghan and they appeared a number of times on Alexis Korner's BBC radio shows. In 1969, they recorded a couple of tracks for a Liberty blues compilation "Gasoline". In the early 90s Jim travelled the world and ended up settling in maine. The " Going Home " song reached there ahead of him via Ian Woods. There is a featured on Jim on www.mainewindjammercruises.com Just click on "The Company" and then on "store" and "music". There is a cd available which contains " Time for the going home song"
