That's true about the instruments. The fact is, a seriously insecure S/O is liable to become jealous of absolutely anything that their partner appears to want to spend much time or attention on...besides them. It could be golf, fishing, a guitar, old friends, needlepoint, or Bob Dylan. I think it's particularly funny when it's Bob Dylan. I mean, it's not like the man doesn't have people mad at him about enough other stuff already...

The most insecure girlfriend I ever had, though, seemed to like all the musicians I liked. She got mad instead about other women and my model airplane kits. She used to threaten to smash them all when she was really incensed (the model kits, I mean...), but she didn't really mean it, because if she had I would probably have killed her, and she knew it. Everyone has his limit.
