Why not? People are verbing nouns all the time, summiting their endeavors and paradigming themselves into all sorts of shapes.

It's one of the curses and joys of English that different parts of speech can modify one another: running faucet, f***ing football, dying cowboy are all examples of verbs modifying nouns. Even nouns modify nouns, and with interesting results: a house cat is not the same as a cat house, for instance. And you can get stuff like "the house cat was out cattin' around the cat house" and it makes sense.
