leeneia, I think you misunderstood. I *do* know how it sounds in Balcarres. I am a lutenist, read lute tab, and therefore ought to be able to play it. The question is this: is the Balcarres tune 'Lads of Gallowater' the same tune as for the *song* 'Lads of Gallowater', as it is a different tune to theone now popularly used for the song.
