I STILL say, after 4 years of this thread, that some of the best singers have seldom or never been recorded, and that I still see evidence that taste is often determined by perceptions of popularity and/or fame.

there are a lot of good singers mentioned in this thread, but I sure wish it had a different title...like "wonderful singers you have known"
