Well I loved the movie, absolutely wonderful, beautiful.
I didn't actually say in so many words that the music was "crappy," just that
(a) It was too loud;
(b) Bill would NOT have enjoyed the style of music;
(c) A lot of it sounded like Gregorian chants sung in Danish; and
(d) all too often, the music sounded threatening, as if it was being used to build up fear & tension before something sad happened to the birds. A little much for my nerves; the birds alone might have been better.
The greatest thing about this movie for me wasn't even the flying scenes. It was the close-up and personal views of bird behavior.
It was awesome to see some of the different rituals for meet-and-greet that have evolved among birds to help strengthen the bond between mated pairs.
I do woodburned art these days and have spent many happy hours reading about various bird species as "research" for my woodburning. It was fantastic to see behaviors that I've only read about, in species and in locations that I could never see on my own.
Also awesome to watch an iceberg calve, among other natural wonders.
I would like to see it again. Maybe I'll bring earplugs.
