Thread Name: Lyr Req: All of It (from Skylark)
Subject: Lyr Req: All of It
I have heard a song in New Orleans sung by the wonderful Betsy McGovern called "All of It" which has several verses. One involves a server who is shorted in her tip and thinks the customer should have left all of it. One involves a sick man given a medicinal bit of whiskey who wishes to have all of it. One involves the young couple in the next apartment who at night sings the chorus which is the same for each verse:
Give me all of it, all of it,
Not just a bit of it.
None of your quarters, your thirds or your halves,
The long and the tall of it,
Rise and the fall of it,
All of it, all of it, all.
Anyone know the whole song, music, who made it?
