I'd be interested to hear the sort of things you and Harry had in mind and whether or not any of your plans came to fruition. I'm always on the lookout for people with memories of Harry to add to the page of the website (see above). If you want to PM me with anything then please feel free. Myself and Chris Pollington are in the middle of recording a CD of some of the songs that Harry used to do in an attempt to make people aware of them. The sad thing is that if you ask a folk club audience today if they've heard of Harry Boardman, many of them shake their heads which is a pity because he was one of the influential people of the folk revival especially here in the North West and he deserves to be better remembered.

I must listen to "The Blackbird" again. Maybe time has clouded my memory of it. (I find long drawn out ballads tedious as well - give me a four verse song with a rousing chorus anyday!)
