I'm sure I remember this being played on American Forces Network when I was living in Germany in 1971.

I thought it was 'Your MOTHER has the shipfitter blues...' and 'you BURNED your finger that evening..'

I was singing this at a fairly drunken get together a couple of weeks ago.
