I sometimes get a damp cloth and just pat the cat with it so that it thinks its mother is giving it a nice wash. The hairs stick to the cloth and it is minimal discomfort for the cat. I assume that the mits are similar and the chamois leather would be perfect, maybe even purr-fect.

Whatever you do, do it gently and make it part of your normal petting process. The little rotters can read minds, you know, so even if you just *think* of the brush Roo will get antsy.
