Kaleea, I just want to tell you again how much I appreciate your post. Reading it through again, I can't believe all the similarities between my kitty-experiences and yours. Thanks for the wonderful tips on how to care for the Roo as she gets older too. I'm going to print this out now. If I ever come back as a cat, I know who I'll be seeking out to "own"!

BTW my son just read this and corrected me -- she's not 12, she's only 10! (I knew that ... I must be getting senile in my old age or something!) And re meeting Roo as a black panther, he says "Very good! Bring it on!" Somehow I don't think he's sold on the multi-lives thing ...
