Guest before my post has supplied a likely reason why my precious record is valuable.

I bought it for $2 from a second hand shop decades ago & according to a post on another thread copies of this album have sold for $1500!!
It's in good condition (well, I call it good, dunno what a trader would call it) & I assume it wasn't produced by the zillion so not many survived. Strangely enough it is being reproduced on CD as it was made by well-known Oz folkies.

My favourite CD shop recently acquired a lot of vinyl & the most expensive are priced at around $100. I really must show Nev the "$1500" record & see if he's impressed (or more to the point can find info about it)
