Back in the late 1950's, the Philadelphia Daily News, reporting a come from behind tourament win by golfing great, Ben Hogan, splashed all over the back page, in giant type yet, HOGAN COMES THROUGH WITH "BLOODY" PUTTS.
I assumed, at the time, that no one on their editorial staff was Jewish but, now, I'm not so sure.
