Just watched a 2.5 hour original movie on TNT, tonight, called "Freedom Song". The soundtrack is by Sweet Honey in the Rock and James Horner and it was excellent. Here's a blurb about the movie. I highly recommend it and the soundtrack which is available from Sony. There are some songs on there that I plan on learning, esp. "This May Be The Last Time", just beautiful! Hope you get a chance to see it!

A TNT Original A powerful story from the front lines of the Civil Rights Movement, FREEDOM SONG chronicles a father/son relationship nearly destroyed when the Movement reaches their small Southern town. Freedom Song is directed by Phil Alden Robinson ("Field of Dreams") and Executive Produced by Danny Glover (Beloved, Lethal Weapon, TNT's "Buffalo Soldiers"). Glover co-stars with Loretta Devine ("Waiting to Exhale"), Vondie Curtis-Hall ("Chicago Hope") and Vicellous Reon Shannon (Denzel Washington's co-star in the upcoming feature "The Hurricane") in the film, which is inspired by actual accounts of the heroic men and women who led the Movement as it spread throughout the cities and towns of our nation.
