It is close to the Merle Travis version in the DT, except for variations in the 2nd verse. Capable of being done in almost every style and with all kinds of different technique. Merle Travis' version is the most well known, with Doc Watson's second, and it can be done shapenote hymn, lined out hymn, spiritual style, secular style, bluegrass, even holy blues. Very sincere and real and everybody likes that stoptime rest in the chorus. |

Once you get the hang of it, they are easy to transcribe that way and not too hard to play from, either. ~Susan |
