Subject: Whitehouse Blues -John Renborn's version
From: Earl
Date: 15 Jul 97 - 03:42 PM

John Renborn recorded a version of Whitehouse Blues, about the assassination of President McKinley, on his 70's album Faro Annie. His version had many of the same verses as Charlie Poole's Whitehouse Blues but a completely different, minor key melody. Does anyone know if this version originated with Renborn?
