Subject: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: MMario Date: 14 Apr 00 - 10:04 PM Anyone planning a hearme session this sunday? or is it just gonna "happen" - theme? no theme? (Not that I expect to be able to use my mic sunday, but I like to be prepared...) Monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday, on the other hand...family is away and MMario just may play! or sing... |
Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: Mbo Date: 14 Apr 00 - 10:13 PM Umm, Mario, and everyone, it pretty much well-established that there's ALWAYS a Hearme session going on Sunday nights at 7:00pm, as for "theme" we've pretty much done left them on the side for now. They do make the action happen faster, but sometimes it's just easier to "go with the flow" and sing what you want. Don't worry, we'll listen! --Mbo |

Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: paddymac Date: 15 Apr 00 - 08:29 PM Ya'll be sure to take a nap tomorrow, just in case this thing runs to the wee small hours as it did last week. |
Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: wysiwyg Date: 16 Apr 00 - 12:13 AM Mmario, after Holy Week services every evening this week, you may be just the thing. I'll tune in when I can! ~Susan~ |
Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: Caitrin Date: 16 Apr 00 - 03:31 PM I know what ya mean, Praise. After Stations of the Cross, you need something to cheer up a bit! : ) |
Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: wysiwyg Date: 16 Apr 00 - 04:19 PM Or we could sing Stations here if enough have mics (I don't) and then get flamified! Easter Sunday HearMe could be very interesting as well. But then, that's just my humble opinion! ~S~ |
Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: katlaughing Date: 16 Apr 00 - 04:27 PM Just so long as we keep it open to other themes, too, please, although it would be fun to sing "Easter Parade."*BG* |
Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: katlaughing Date: 16 Apr 00 - 04:41 PM I just typed in "easter" in the DT search box to see what would come up. A lot of songs with that word in them; some pretty interesting ones, too. |

Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: Mbo Date: 16 Apr 00 - 07:28 PM Good idea Praise! Online Stations, yes! And Easter Sunday would be really neat...got some good Gospell tunes! --Mbo |
Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: wysiwyg Date: 16 Apr 00 - 08:30 PM Oh Lord, I didn't mean it quite like that!! Mea culpa.... But surely you know me better than that by now, yes, please?? ~S~ |
Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: Mark Cohen Date: 16 Apr 00 - 09:40 PM I tried to get on, but I'm stuck at home with a laptop that doesn't have a built-in mike and a modem connection that's via slow cell phone (one of the prices you pay for living off the grid), so I'm going to have to miss it. Hope you have fun. Next week I should be healed enough to get into the office. I'll have to do a Passover song. Aloha, Mark |

Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: GutBucketeer Date: 17 Apr 00 - 12:23 AM It was fun to be back!!! I sang and played: Common Sailors Palms of Victory (in honor of Palm Sunday) Bulley in the Alley with harmonica John Hardy/Cripple Creek on my new(old) banjo. The talent tonight was awsome. I just wish I could get through one song without making a blunder. Everytime I get a little closer to doing it though, so maybe someday I'll do it. Please be patient. My mic is a Labtec AM-252 "NCAT" I think Linn said it was $13.00 at the local computer store. It seems to really work well. Good night! Sleep tight! JAB |

Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: GutBucketeer Date: 17 Apr 00 - 10:01 AM Harpgirl: Sorry you missed the hearme session. Someone, I think it was Ed Pillow was really interested in hearing good autoharp playing. It might be fun to pick a future session and get as many autoharpers to come in and play as we can find. Not to limit it to just autoharp, but it could be an autoharp friendly hearme session. JAB |

Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: SINSULL Date: 17 Apr 00 - 11:50 AM i am a new member and more than a little confused. How do I get in on "Hear Me"? And can I just listen? |
Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: MMario Date: 17 Apr 00 - 11:55 AM sinsull - I suggest you put "hearme" in the filter and set the date to about three months....then read the threads. other then that, there is a link further up in THIS thread, click on it, and follow the instructions. it takes a while to downlad the script the first time.... yes, you can just listen, or join in the text chat.

Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: Mbo Date: 17 Apr 00 - 11:56 AM Sinsull, you can get Hearme by clicking on this link! And of course you can just listen. If you have a microphone to plug into your computer, you can sing or play too! And you know we'd love to hear you! --Mbo |
Subject: RE: HearMe - 4/16/00 From: katlaughing Date: 17 Apr 00 - 01:37 PM Hi, Sinsull, welcome to the Mudcat. You can just listen, but there has to be another person in there for you to listen to. We always have a circle on Sundays at 7pm Eastern Time (United States). Other times, you can post to the HearMe Now thread, to let folks know you are headed in there, and usually someone will show up to chat or swap songs. Hope this helps, keep asking question...we'll try to get the answers right. All the best, kat |
