Not sure if you'll want to include this. There are already two versions in the DT. But I refer to these lyrics in another thread.

Whoops. Didn't get the thread title correct in that last post. Anyway, I'm just wondering how other people choose which version of a song they will sing at a gathering. For Banks of Sicily, I like the original version best, but it's the hardest for a non Scots audience to understand. At a gathering, I'll probably sing the Clancy's version, because it's the one I'm most likely to get people singing along on. Any comments?

- depends on your audience, your mood and your ability to keep the versions separate in your head, methinks!
