Looking for lyrics to a song that goes something like this

Go to sleep my little buckaroo, It was from a little acorn That the great big oak tree grew Now you know it's time for rest Another day is through So go to sleep my little buckaroo

that's all I can remember, every now and then it pops into my mind from out of no where. I have no idea where I heard it, who (if anybody) performed it, or any other info about the song.

Buckaroo
Version 1
Close your sleepy eyes,
My little Buckaroo.
While the light of the western skies,
Is shinin' down on you.
Don't you know it's time for bed,
Another day is through.
So go to sleep,
My little Buckaroo.

Don't you realize,
My little Buckaroo,
That it was from a little acorn,
That the Oak tree grew?
And remember that your dad,
Was once a kid like you.
So go to sleep,
My little Buckaroo.

Soon you're gonna ride the range,
Like grown up cowboys do.
Now it's time that you were roundin' up,
A dream or two.
So go to sleep,
My little Buckaroo.
Version 2
Close your sleepy eyes,
My little Buckaroo,
While the light of the western skies
Is shining down on you.
Don't you know it's time for bed,
Another day is through
So go to sleep,
My little Buckaroo.

Oo, oo, oo, oo,
Soon you're gonna ride the range
Like grown up cowboys do
Now it's time that you were rounding
Up a dream or two
So go to sleep,
My little Buckaroo.

Version 3, offered by one of our readers:

Go to sleep, my little buckaroo,
though the lights of the western sky are shining down on you,
don't you know it's time for bed,
another day is through,
oh, go to sleep, my little buckaroo.

Don't you want to be a cowboy like your daddy?
Ride the range and maybe rope a calf or two
Well you know that all good cowboys need their sleep time,
so, go to sleep, my little buckaroo
ummmmmmm

The song was performed in th movie Cherokee Strip (1937?) by Tommy Bupp singing to a little boy, Dick Foran. I remember my mother singing this to me in the fifties.
