Did he do the skiffle version of "Leaving of Liverpool"? I first saw him do that perched on the back of a chair downstairs at the Tudor Barn - the first time Jacqui and I ever went there.

It wasn't Lord Franklin Girl Friday - it was was an Eskimo named Only! For 'tis said 'Only the Eskimo, in his skin canoe, was the only one who ever came through'.
Dave Kenningham on the other hand always comes through. Splendid chap who always manages to play 'Ride On' in the wrong key.
John Barden

Mr Fish.... I know that tactic of his..... trust me..... what's the point of bringing crib sheets when you haven't brought your guitar?

Pete.... low attendance wasn't in it? Because of Bexley's great love of roadsurfacing Sidcup Hill in one swoop, only the 233 bus stopped in Foots Cray, and that took a circuotous route. Dave was the only one who. like Lord Franklin ever got through. There were about four players and two audience.

This has now been sorted.

However, I am always happy to answer e-mails sent to my e-mail address regarding club membership etc.

Look forward to seeing you on Thursday.

This seems the right place to ask. I thought I might go to Eltham this Thurs so I sent my email asking for membership (off their website) - but no confirmation received. Is this normal and will I be able to get in?

He did sing - well he started "South Australia" then left Richard Bridge and me to finish it for him.

Perhaps it'll soon be time to try and get him into a retirement home - I'll talk to a friend of mine (Dirty Old Git) about it.

Who was Dave Kenningham? - was he the geezer cooking piles of out of date sausages on the embers of the knockholt bonfire?

He didn't play or sing - My family travelled all the way down to Kent, from bonnie Inverness to hear the legend perform. We were bitterly diappointed.

Shame on you DK for building up our hopes and then stuffing yourself so full of sausages that you were unable to sing.

These days Dave Kenningham is growing so weak that he has great difficulty in carrying his guitar around with him - well I assume that's why he didn't have it with him at our BBQ. Let's hope that he's feeling stronger for the Knockholt Weekend or can find a roadie to carry it for him !
