I have been having a hell of a time with recurring bouts of laryngitis, but, the latest round seems to be on the way out, so, I'll be there, and, able to share. I'm off to England on Tuesday. That was also in the balance, but, looks like a go. Mick, it's mutual, I'm looking forward to meeting a gang of Mudcatters. I hope you are not disappointed to see that I'm really a kind, gentle S.N.A.G. (sensitive new age guy), not the grumpy old curmudgeon you have seen on the forum! You have been warned! LOL

Well I'm sure doing my best to make it. (all the way from Scarborough Ontario) It's not a lock though, for a couple of reasons a bit beyond my control; number one being Duckboots' Dad's (in Scotland) state of health, and the other thing being some odd recent developements in Canada-US. border crossing.

Keeping my fingers crossed though.

David C. and I are coming from Hardy County, West Virginia. This will be David's first Getaway. He is wondering if there will be any other dobro players there. I keep telling him that if there aren't, there will be after they see and hear him play. He is also bringing one of his banjos and his collection of mouth harps. I think he is excited about the possiblity of playing with the jug band, among other things.

I'll just be bringing the Adventure guitar and maybe another "extra" guitar. If there's room, I'll pack the washboard as well.

I am getting more and more excited! There's only slightly less than 480 hours to go!

Anyone passing through our area an hour south of Corning?Elmira NY (routes 6 & 15 in PA) is invited to drop by. We have sleeping space and good cooking, if you wish to break your journey coming or going, or if you want to add vacay or retreat time of any duration, before or after the Getaway.
