Subject: RE: Apple Hollow Music Fest Quebec Canada '09 From: Jeri Date: 07 Feb 09 - 06:57 PM Well, I hope it doesn't get tougher! I figure after a few more years, you'll know what you're doing. (haha) |
Subject: RE: Apple Hollow Music Fest Quebec Canada '09 From: gnu Date: 07 Feb 09 - 06:46 PM The toughest? That just means you have been doing a great job so far. I hope your job gets tougher every year. |
Subject: RE: Apple Hollow Music Fest Quebec Canada '09 From: Beer Date: 07 Feb 09 - 06:42 PM No Bruce, you and John are lucky in that your not performing side by side on opposite stages. I still have to do 10 bios then it is to finalize the balancing act. This I think is the hardest part in the organizational part. There are so many things to consider. As an example. Who will open on the stages. No one really wants to be first as folks are still drifting in. How many single act performers are there and what type of music do the play. Who should I have performing opposite the other stage performer. I truly believe that this years line up is very, very good and in the 7 years that I have been doing the juggling act, this years is the toughest. Adrien |

Subject: RE: Apple Hollow Music Fest Quebec Canada '09 From: Peace Date: 07 Feb 09 - 03:30 PM Two/three days of puns and plays on words is gonna be rough to take, John. But I mellow after a few cases of beer. BTW, I am really hoping that Adrien doesn't have us both booked at the same time because I am very much looking forward to hearing/seeing you. Hell, we'll be two of the bionic people there--you with your two replaced hips and me with my one. |

Subject: RE: Apple Hollow Music Fest Quebec Canada '09 From: bobad Date: 24 Jan 09 - 04:59 PM From this site: http://www.travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1082.html Entry into Canada is solely determined by Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) officials in accordance with Canadian law, see http://www.cbsa.gc.ca for details. Canadian law requires that all persons entering Canada must carry both proof of citizenship and identity. A valid U.S. passport or NEXUS card satisfies these requirements for U.S. citizens. If U.S. citizen travelers to Canada do not have a passport or approved alternate document such as a NEXUS card, they must show a government-issued photo ID (e.g. Driver's License) and proof of U.S. citizenship such as a U.S. birth certificate, naturalization certificate, or expired U.S. passport. Children under sixteen need only present proof of U.S. citizenship. From this site: http://www.travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html It appears that as of June 1, 2009 you will need a valid passport to re-enter the US so that would satisfy the Canadian entry requirements. |
Subject: RE: Apple Hollow Music Fest Quebec Canada '09 From: Beer Date: 24 Jan 09 - 04:28 PM Bobad is usually very good for this information Neil. I know for Canadians entering the U.S. by land a passport is required by January 31st. 2009 and I think I heard from the States to Canada it is sometimes in June but I am not sure. Adrien |
Subject: RE: Apple Hollow Music Fest Quebec Canada '09 From: Jeri Date: 23 Jan 09 - 06:15 PM My comment was about USians. I don't know if it's true for Canadians. |
Subject: RE: Apple Hollow Music Fest Quebec Canada '09 From: Jeri Date: 23 Jan 09 - 06:13 PM A driver's license works getting in. I forgot my passport when I went to Toronto last month, and I got back to the US with the license. They've WANTED to make a passport mandatory for a while, without success. |
Subject: RE: Apple Hollow Music Fest Quebec Canada '09 From: Neil D Date: 23 Jan 09 - 06:08 PM Does anybody know if those of us from the U.S. are going to need passports to drive into Canada by the time of the festival? |
Subject: RE: Apple Hollow Music Fest Quebec Canada '09 From: Beer Date: 23 Jan 09 - 03:33 PM If you go to our site you will see that our front page is a little different for the time being. This is just to get the news out to local possible participants. BTW, I'm the fellow with the guitar, not the accordion. You can access the site below the poster but nothing new as yet.
