Mick and CFlat ,

You're in the best place possible James Cook University Hospital Middlesbrough.
Their Coronary Dept is highly respected and dare I say it - famous.
The most highly skilled Consultants and staff - and incidentally where Vin hard his heart valve "rebuilt".
Good luck on you both, and Mick, you're missing nowt the weather / snow is absolute shite ,but I hope someone is looking after the allotment.
Best Wishes
Betsy

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery!

Get well soon mate - remember when we interviewed Fred Jordan in the mid-'70s in Whitby 'Plough?' I've still got the tape. We must've thought him an 'old boy' but he was younger then than we are now! Funny old world etc.

Well, C-f, I don't know you either, but good luck anyway. To identify Mick just look for the smallest bloke, and the loudest voice on the ward, 99% says that's him.

And to Mick: be good and see you when you're back here, soon I hope but don't rush, get well first.

I'm going into James Cook hospital myself on Sunday for heart surgery, so there's a fair chance we'll be on the same ward.
I don't know Mick but if I find he's in the next bed I'll pass on the good thoughts and wishes of Mudcat.

Oh I should say that Angi and Mick are keeping all this Malarky from Liam.
Well I can tell you that they are going to have a job on! When Liam got wind of my Dick Ticker he asked me to tell someone else how I was as it was this other person who was worried about me. So he could listen to find out the truth.

If your reading this Liam Mick is going to be just fine OK!

Please tell Mick that Goff is visiting Castle Hill on a daily basis and all the family turn up so he'll be in good company. There's no better hospital in the country so they should sort him out!

All the best, Mick

Seems generally to be a Shantyman's problem.
They'll soon be starting a Shanty Singers Stent and Bypass Association

SABA for short.

Hope Mick is doing well.

Mick

Hope you are up and about soon.

If you get a bit down Liam and I could come and play some shanties on the harmonicas, it's a bit quieter than singing.

Jean is always quicker off the mark than me but as she has said in the previous post, sending positive thoughts.

I'm sorry to hear this. Don't get to Mick's club as often as I'd like but always enjoy it. Love watching Coblers Monday, Whitby's Sea Song and
Shanty Group.

I'm sending positive thoughts and saying "get well soon, Mick".

Hey up Mick, hope you're sorted soon.   Get better before they make you come over to Cottingham - I stay there sometimes and I WILL come and sing to you, you'd soon be scurrying back to Whitby!   The Castle Hill Capstaneers.....

Good luck, all the best, hope you're digging again before you know it.

Mick Haywood is in Scabro Hospital with a dicky ticker. Tipicaly also on the same ward are two members of The Filey Fishermens Chour! One of the Nurses also sings so those who know Mick will realize that Scarbo Hospital has now got it's own Shanty Group. If they don't ship him off to Cottingham Hospital soon. I will let you know which night he's starting a Folk Club on in Scarbro Hospital.
