Subject: RE: I love Mudcat From: kendall Date: 22 Jan 00 - 09:57 AM This is the best thing that has happened to me in many years. Its loss would be catastrophic. Liz, you wanna compare phone bills? I just got one for $1625.65 for one month. The geek who set up my computer put in an out of town access number, so, every minute I spent on this thing was a toll call. 99% of that time was in the Mudcat |
Subject: RE: I love Mudcat From: jeffp Date: 22 Jan 00 - 08:32 AM There is so much interesting knowledge held by the people who post here that they are willing, even eager to share! I have learned so much in the short time that I have been coming here, I can't even begin to list it all. What we have here is an international community of people from all sorts of backgrounds who come together and offer facts, ideas, encouragement (a lot of that), creativity, and some truly bizarre senses of humor. All in all, a wonderful place to spend time. The Mudcat has enriched my life in ways I never expected. And for that I thank all of you. jeffp |
Subject: RE: I love Mudcat From: Little Neophyte Date: 22 Jan 00 - 08:12 AM Grey Wolf, what a good thought! It is soooooo important to focus on the good things. In the past couple of days I have become a glue expert. I have been encouraged to sing and was shown how to expand my range. I learned a great deal of history from Don Mclean's American Pie. And someone is sending me sheet music to my all time favorite Seals & Croft 'House At Pooh Corner' What more could a girl ask for? BB

Subject: RE: I love Mudcat From: Liz the Squeak Date: 22 Jan 00 - 05:59 AM Feeling is mutual, but the phone bill isn't!! Regardless of that, I'm still here, almost daily..... Been a great help to me, filling in for the missing chat and interaction I had with my former workmates. I no longer get to speak to any of them except two, and one of them is moving 70 miles away next week.... You've all filled in a very lonely time in my life, thank you. Hopefully I will continue to be able to post, when I start work next month for the IRS! LTS |

Subject: RE: I love Mudcat From: Grey Wolf Date: 22 Jan 00 - 12:20 AM Mudjack - plese don't dwell on the past and mistakes that we cannot change - the purpose of this thread is for everyone to say how good Mudcat still is |
Subject: RE: I love Mudcat From: Mudjack Date: 22 Jan 00 - 12:12 AM HURRAY.....We have a positive note. I've been reading a lot of debate and see we have been crapping in the litter box again. Us cats just have to do that every now and then. But the litter box gets stinky after a while and some think it is OK to crap on one another. Thank you Grey Wolfe for starting the positive note. I think it is time we dwell on the MCs good points and bury the crap behind us. Read what you want and post where you can be comfortable. We have in our reach probably the best Web site to be found anywhere. I listened to Max on radio archives and heard some disturbing remarks. Folks, Cats, you loose him, we all fold and and find another place to hang around. Max sounded like he was on the edge of chucking the whole thing. We need to be more sensitive to his needs and give him encouragement, not bigger headaches. I litsened to about an hour and still found the radio show very good. Positives are good......... Mudjack |

Subject: I love Mudcat From: Grey Wolf Date: 21 Jan 00 - 11:57 PM Given that there's been so much negative feeling around here recently, I thought I'd try and introduce something positive, lest we forget how good this place still is. Today I learnt how to start playing guitar like Kate Rusby, I learned better ways of transfering tapes to my computer, I smiled at the discussion on the best way to glue guitars and I listened to some MIDI files of songs that I'd not heard in ages. Yesterday and the day before were similarly good. When I log on tomorrow I expect it will be equally interesting. I think that Mudcat is ace, and long may it continue |
