According to what I found on Google, in a Mystic Seaport press release, they are "A fiery young duo from New York." It also looks as though they were there in 1998 and a few other great sounding venues in the US and in the UK.

Sounds interesting...maybe the Seaport would have more info by email or phone. I couldn't find anything else on their site about them.

Heard a duo at this June's sea music festival at Mystic Seaport Museum that floored me! They are called The NexTradition, and they are powerful singers. They sing worksongs: chanteys, prison songs, railroad songs, etc. mostly from the African-American tradition, and have a very strong presence. Anyone see them there, or at other venues? Any opinions of them among mudcatters?
