Subject: RE: your red scarf matches your eyes From: Rodney Rawlings Date: 02 Apr 98 - 05:46 PM What a surprise to see this topic (based on a thread I started) come up again!
Joe, I wish you had told me back then about it being a hit. Are you sure of this? I thought it was just part of the comedy routine by that long-forgotten comic, Guy Marks, whom I saw once on Ed Sullivan and never heard of again.

Subject: RE: your red scarf matches your eyes From: John in Brisbane Date: 31 Mar 98 - 11:54 PM The song opens with a monologue something like, "Welcome to the Hotel Sheets! Ah there's laughter and gaiety nightly in the Hotel Sheets ... and now here's a medly from ... and his orchestra - Your Red Scarf Matches Your Eyes and Loving You Has Made Me Bananas". The missing verse is sort of "You burned your fingers that evening, while my back was turned, I asked the waiter for iodine, but I dined all alone". A minor hit as I recall circa 1967. Regards John
