Subject: RE: News from the Germany Mudgathering! From: Lady McMoo Date: 06 May 01 - 05:23 PM Sorry Suzanne, I didn't realise that was a song. I thought it was just a continuation of the argument with the kitchen staff!!! Of couse I remember, there were just TOO many highlights to get into one short post! And it's not true. Cobble's socks didn't smell at all. He assured me he changed them last year! mcmoo |
Subject: RE: News from the Germany Mudgathering! From: GUEST,Llanfair Date: 06 May 01 - 05:21 PM Eric tells me that they are moving to the Netherlands because they can get wed there. We are going into the sunlounge now to make some music, with a grand piano, and at the request of some of the passengers. Another night without sleep!!! Talk to you soon, Cheers, Bron. |
Subject: RE: News from the Germany Mudgathering! From: Susanne (skw) Date: 06 May 01 - 05:19 PM I'm home too! I can but second mcmoo's account in all respects. It was lovely meeting you all, and I certainly hope to do so again before long (though it's not really likely before next year, sniff!). Mudcat will take on a whole new aspect now that I can put not just faces to Mudcat names (the photo gallery has helped me here a lot already), but living people with their histories and all. (Because music was certainly not the only thing we talked about, and there was a LOT of talking going on!) Thanks again to all who took the trouble to come, and to Wolfgang and Bill in particular. However, mcmoo, I am VERY disappointed that our singing of one whole three-verse German folksong (we left out the fourth verse in order not to overtax our listeners) did not get a look-in in your account! It obviously didn't leave a lasting impression ... :-) (Can't remember how to do hugs, so consider yourselves hugged, all of you!) |
Subject: RE: News from the Germany Mudgathering! From: GUEST,Skipjack Date: 06 May 01 - 05:15 PM Well, I'm sore, but not from a torrid night sharing the bed with Eric. It was safe sex, as featured by Priscilla Presley and Lesley Neilsen. His sleeping bag was inpenetrable! It was the best, and it ain't over yet!! A session awaits.\\Skipjack
So much for the thuth, The lying bugger!! Skip and I shared a bed, and we were safe at the sex. But he has not yet had an orgasm from his toes!!!!!!!!! From the top to the tip, his joggers nipple is better and not so crusty! There must be many wondering what was going on but at about 04.30 He proposed after a lovely night and experience s that I never had before. Skip, my love I take back all I said about sheep, Sheep, Sheep !!! Who needs them when you have toes!!!!! Eric the pilager!! |

Didn't we have a loverly time . Still living at high intensity- can't believe the amount of stuf we've packed into a weekend...!! Subject: RE: News from the Germany Mudgathering! From: Lady McMoo Date: 06 May 01 - 05:01 PM P.S. Many photies were taken and will hopefully make an appearance soon. Perhaps the UK'ers might be able to post from the Cybercafe on the "Pride of Rotterdam" if they can shift the pimply youths playing Doom. On the other hand, this new ship purportedly has 21 bars, so perhaps we better not count on this! Peace again, mcmoo |
Subject: News from the Germany Mudgathering! From: Lady McMoo Date: 06 May 01 - 04:56 PM Wow! This was the best weekend Lady McMoo and I have had in a long time! What a great gathering and time! About 14 or 15 of us finally made it to Muenster in Germany from (I think) 5 European countries. First of all congratulations and thanks must go out to Wolfgang who went out of his way to organise things and was the perfect host. After meeting on the Saturday morning at Wolfgang's we were treated to a fascinating and educational tour of the city. Later we collected our instruments and repaired to a small restaurant where a small back room was prepared for music. After some initial "confusion" with food orders (some people had finished their desserts before others got their starters!) we got to playing. It's almost impossible to pick out any highlights as the whole thing was so good but it was great to hear Bill, Eric, Skipjack and the Jug contingent playing along with Ranks and Letty. Letty, Llanfair, Bill, Eric, Ranks, Cobble, Patrish and Noreen singing (including Letty in Scots Gaelic!) The jokes and stories were flowing thick and fast and it almost seemed as if we had known one another all our lives. Sunday was topped of by breakfast and coffee back at Wolfgang's and later a typical Westphalia-style lunch together in town. Sadly then it was time to part and I think we were all sorry it couldn't go on longer. Certainly I felt very emotional saying my farewells and hope to catch some of the "gang" again shortly. This, to me, is what Mudcat is all about: goodwill, shared interests and outlooks, fun, good-natured legpulling and great music and craic. Many thanks to all for making this a weekend truly to remember. I can hardly wait for the next! Peace to all, mcmoo (and Lady mcmoo) |
