Subject: RE: BS: Glamorous Mudcatting From: katlaughing Date: 21 Jan 07 - 06:28 PM Light green sweat pants I wouldn't wear outside the house; old comfy worn-out white tee-shirt with various shades of housepaint splatters, no particular pattern; knee-high cream coloured all cotton socks, well everything is all-cotton, including the "Unbra." Black Keen lace-up shoes which sometimes keep my feet too warm, a hard thing to do usually! Glasses, clean hair pulled back in a scrunchie. When I was chilly, I also had on a scrumptious purple pullover sweater which I adore. It's shapeless, cuddly, and warm. Nothing glam about any of it.:-) Mets, love your descriptions! |

I just came in for a short break and a bowl of chili, from raking and piling branches from our last hurricane and throwing them on the burn pile. I've got on grey rubber boots, that were my youngest daughter's when she was in elementary school, into which I've stuffed my grubby baggy khaki pants. I've got my brown vest on with burn holes, a grey sweater, black socks with holes in the toes and my filthy old manure stained hooded wetskins jacket with a broken zipper, rips and tears and some glued patches.....and I haven't combed my hair in two days. Think I'll go back out if the rain eases a bit and fart around in the yard some more. |

Subject: BS: Glamorous Mudcatting From: wysiwyg Date: 21 Jan 07 - 02:37 PM Once, I had this one particularly dirty job with great PR responsibilities. A frequent quip, when at my grubbiest, was, "I'm in this for the glory, of course." Just now I took a break from bodging up the Spirituals Permathread to do something in the kitchen; I had a similarly wry thought as I stepped into the warm, fuzzy slippers needed when I sit for a long time in the frigid corner where the computer chair is. "Oh yeah, there's WYS the Glamorous," I thought. So of course it led me to wonder-- what are YOU folks wearing? ~Susan |
