Same as Pigs Ear Pierre, If you or anybody else needs a good camping blow up Lilo (not doll) then we have 2 always spare in the vardo. Just return them as loaned and all will be peace and light.
I will have some Stilton and biscuits in the vardo Richard, plus a rather nice Pays D'Oc Red that was bought for my birthday (which is tomorrow, so I will be celebrating over the coming weekend too) - so Friday or Saturday????

I have this evidence to offer in the defence of the accused. Hereinafter referred to as Chicken G.

Pierre Le Chapeau writes
"When your all dancing naked round the fire I,ll sling a huge Log on dead centre which produces millions of red Hot Sparks and then sit back and watch the Fun?"

This is evidence which suggests that he forced the victim,[hereonafter refeered to as Fox R] to eat the fireworks. That attemnpt proving unsuccesful M'Lud Hoff, he threw the fox down the mineshaft, a place where he just happened to be working, and framed the Chicken.

Supporters of The Chicken please sign the Petition to be posted on the BS section soon.

We'll drop off the caravan and the marquee so it will be there Wednesday if anyone wants to put it up. We'll hold the fort at the Club Wednesday night and then come along late afternoon Thursday.

If you are coming for the Saturday and Saturday night VT just bring enough food stuff and drink to keep yourselfs going until Sunday afternoon when its all over.

There is no Tesco,s nearby that i know of but thats not to say there is not one. There is a Waitrose,s 20 min. away in Green Street Green.

I have now got to come all the way home from Museum in London where I work Wed Morn to my home to feed the Cat and leave the creature with enough dry food and water to keep him going until I get back. Which will delay my arrival time by several hours. My sister who was going to feed the Cat has decided to Go away for the weekend, .......Bloody Parlarva....... I Wish people would make there minds up?

The alternative is to feed the Cat to the Alsatian next door. Now.

I was aiming to be first on site but what with this now Cat Fiasco it seems like I be climbing over the gate at 1300 hrs. By the time I pitch my new tent and get sorted I may just scratch a pint or 6 down the tally Ho with good old Woodsie before the place closes at 3oclock. Stupid Idea the pub should be open all day.

Sorry richard - I had a falling out with the web hosting company webs.com (formally freewebs) and severed all ties with them unfortunately that included the knockholt site. All I could find in my archives was an old knockholt rules flyer:

WELCOME TO FOLKMOB'S
THIS IS SUMMER!

We hope you enjoy your time here at Hazlett's Wood Farm Knockholt. To make the weekend safe and enjoyable for everybody please can you observe the following rules:

•        Please take all litter home with you. We always leave this field as we found it when we arrived, that's why we are always invited back!

•        Do not mess about with the campfire. There are two appointed fire wardens

•        Keep kids a safe distance from the campfire.

•        DO NOT THROW EMPTY BOTTLES & CANS onto the fire.

•        Keep all kids and dogs under control

•        Close the field gate.

•        Keep our loos clean!

•        Respect other musicians during the campfire sing around.

•        Get Drunk

•        Get Stoned

•        Both of the above

                                    Don't forget to visit folkmob.com

VT, Whatever you feel like preparing will be great for the Thursday night feast, I'm doing Thai green chicken curry and rice, I think Essex Girl is doing spag bol not sure what Debs is doing, anyway everyone just digs into whatever they fancy or has a bit of everything.

I'd say the things to bring if space is limited would be a chair each, a torch, drinking vessels/plates/knives/forks/spoons, bottled water, wet wipes, kitchen roll, warm jackets/jumpers/socks/trainers, the evenings can get a bit cool even with the camp fire, swimming goggles are great for keeping the smoke out of your eyes but strangly enough I've never seen anyone else wearing them, a cool bag or box to store food/drink, bottle opener/tin opener, cling film/silver foil and If you forget or need anything there will always be someone to help you out.

Thursday night is the shared feast. After that, cooking is for one's own use, but Pete likes to do his wild thing and we all enjoy the proceeds!

THere used to be some links off the Folkmob pages to knockholt stuff including a list of essentials, but it looks as if the new management has ditched that too.

So, never having done this before is there a must bring list somewhere for Knockholt?

Since space is going to be at a premium in our car, I understand that there is a Tesco nearby, so we can dump kit and go buy food and drink.

Are we supposed to do enough food to share around? Need to figure out what's best and the logistics of prep, serving and storage.

Grateful for any advice.

Well, I've never done Moroccan cooking at all but I am quite clear that the lamb should be cooked slowly until falling to pieces. I think I would chunk it. If it's falling to pieces it won't need tenderising.

Morroccan cooking, I am sure, is greasy so I don't think you drain the fat and juices: they get into the tagine sauce (to which you will add some harissa.

I am not aware of Rosemary growing in North Africa so I think Rosemary is a "no"!

I think.

Now should I let this leg of Lamb defrost completely and then cut it into chunks or slices so we can fry the Lamb or shall I let it defrost completely and cook it has a whole joint on the bone so we can carve it from that.
shall I hit it with a Claw hammer to tenderise it prior to cooking.

In the rescipe it states quite clearly sliced fried Lamb,
also one gets quite a lot of Fat and juices from the Roasting Lamb.
do I keep this (Dripping) or dispose of it during cooking.

I do not want folk saying Ohh You should have kept That. This Morrocan cooking is all new to me. also I have lots of Rosemary at home and that goes very well with Roast Lamb but will it add to Harissa.

First, surely they should be "wimmin" or "womyn".

Secondly, without being too ageist, may I point out that it should be lowering the BRA.

More importantly, the first batch of Harissa, made with dried chili flakes, is in the tub.

Next I will try for one made with fresh chilis.

Crow Sister

Brilliant! Would be even more brilliant if we could get Cari (Ruff N Reddy) playing the fiddle. Don't know if she attends Knockers, though.

At Linda's BBQ, I was apporached with the proposition that we ladies attending Knockholt should dance naked around the fire in protest to the Daily Mail article lambasting a school where works one known to several of the Knockholt crowd.

I propose that rather than actually dancing naked around the fire, we form an Association (Knockholt Chapter to the founding club). Print up Tshirts and announce to the press that we will be protesting. All the press will show up to find us sitting round in our Association Tshirts.

I have desigend the logo. Society of Ladies Dancing Naked Around Fire
