Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: Tinker Date: 23 Apr 09 - 12:59 PM The moment we choose to love we begin to move against domination, against oppression. The moment we choose to love we begin to move towards freedom, to act in ways that liberate ourselves and others. That action is the testimony of love as the practice of freedom" Routledge Saw this quote today and thought about Megan and Ezra. Thought about finding freedom in the current situation for Ezra, for Megan and for all who love them... Still pondering |

Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: SINSULL Date: 21 Apr 09 - 10:09 AM I know I am not explaining this well but Meghan and Ezra together have a maturity and dignity all wrapped up in an almost childlike innocence. Neither would ever willingly leave the other. |
Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: Becca72 Date: 21 Apr 09 - 09:26 AM Ezra would drop everything to help any of us in a heartbeat, as has been said. The one thing I want to add is to watch them together, when he looked at Meghan he absolutely adored her and everyone in the room could feel it. |
Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: SINSULL Date: 21 Apr 09 - 08:44 AM What i know of Ezra I know through Meghan. When they were together she was still that little girl in an elegant woman's body.Ezra was her match. Janie will understand what I am saying. |

Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: SINSULL Date: 21 Apr 09 - 08:08 AM Kendall posted this a few years back: This is a sample of her (Meghan's) writing. She wrote this when she was not yet a teen ager. Little Girl I saw the eyes of an old woman In the young face of a child. It was experienced and knew much Though tender, pained and mild. I saw the posture of a weakened woman In a body that had known a sad childhood. She carried herself without meaning Following orders without thinking if she should. I saw the strength of a warrior In a heart that knew only to survive. It brought itself to face each day And yet it was barely alive. I saw the spirit of an aged soldier Inside the lost soul of a mere baby. It had fought many battles And now it was crying "save me". I saw a little girl Who had grown up far too fast. She had already lived her life Though she barely had a past I saw all this, And it broke my heart to see. And then I looked a little closer And saw the little girl was me. |

Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: SINSULL Date: 20 Apr 09 - 09:22 PM Janie, Meghan and Ezra married very young and learned most of their lessons the hard way. They came through the hard times together with intelligence and dignity. Things were finally all falling into place for them. They had their own home, good jobs, and a good future together. I don't even remember what I needed done. Ezra showed up with Meghan and her brother Thomas and his girlfriend. All young and beautiful and decent. All willing to help. Maybe they delivered the futon from Kendall and Jacqui's. I spent very little time with him and Meghan - and always at Morse gatherings. I was always struck by their maturity and dignity - a strange word to use but the only one that fits. They had fun and laughed and were young but there was always a maturity far beyond their years. I wish I understood what has happened. Mary |

Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: kendall Date: 20 Apr 09 - 07:26 PM Janie, he was a young man of mixed race. Good looking, well built, attractive, well spoken. He worked as a manager of a local sports shop. He worked when he was supposed to and was quite trustworthy. Whenever I needed help he was right here and he refused to take any payment. His only crime was being a young man in the wrong place at the wrong time. I still haven't gotten a reply from the Chief of Police. |

Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: VirginiaTam Date: 20 Apr 09 - 05:05 AM I haven't said much up until now. I am approaching anniversary of loss of my daughter and very recently a friend (another catter who shall be nameless) lost his son. So I am breaking my self-imposed decision to keep my thougts minimal. Why is it so hard to cope with the loss of a young person? Historically, it is not so long ago that many children often did not survive their parents. Illness, accidents, wars took them. I wonder, were parents better prepared for such circumstances a hundred years ago? I should say having had a dream some 2+years after my daughter's death that she had just disappeared, it felt worse than knowing she had died. The not knowing what had happened to her was more than I could bear. So - I am still checking, still hoping for resolution, still hurting in concert with you all. |

Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: Janie Date: 19 Apr 09 - 09:28 PM Kendall or Becca, Would it be too painful to share some anecdotes regarding Ezra to give an idea of who he is? In one sense, it does not matter at all. On the otherhand, it would good to be able to have some sense, however limited, of the "suchness" of him to focus on in the mind and heart. |
