The FM thought about getting somebody from Wimbledon to design a retractable roof for the KH field, unfortunately some environmental department decided it would be: unfare, not nice plus it would remove and dismiss all the weather predictions.
There is another thought worth considering, if the world is getting warmer and spring/summer is coming earlier. Perhaps we should organise KH next year in May.....(responses on a post card please)
so bring your wellies and enjoy .

Has the Sausage Killer been doing his Rain Dance again?

My Polish friend will not be at Knockholt this year, she is going home to Warsaw, which is all very well after the fiasco of last year whereby I was running here, there, and everywhere trying to find her and I missed the Thursday night meal.

I think we may have a Bagpiper again this year I have told him that the best place to place Bagpipes in Knockholt is in the darkest deepest remotist parts Knockholt Chalk Mine.

I give you permission to bring baby mando. If Wevva put case inside binliner and carry into marquis (or marquee, depending on breeding).

Dilligaf's tent (and mine) are in wardo already and with luck Big Dick (sorry ladies, he's married) will have fixed my awning too.

Apart from the Wevva and weather, what about the whether?

I wanna play in guitar workshop. Wanna play in mando workshop.

But I am worried about taking Odetta and RB's mandolin out in the wevva. So want to play along, but not willing to chance their health.

May not be room in car anyhoo, if we are bringing Crowsister and all our kit. I think Dilligaff has offered to loan her a tent?

I am gonna try and get in the habit of tuning my guitar and Mandolin prior to even plucking a string in future so has not to fall in that out of tune trap again.

Right, let's sort you lot out!

1. It wasn't Kev the Clogs setting up an entourage account, it was Pete the Hat. Opposite end of body. Simples.

2. Larvae (plural of Larva so presumably including Par-Larvae) hatch out into bugs. Bugs = Microsnot.

3. The word "banjo" is the clue. If you can tune it, it is not a banjo. Whan I picked up your various mandolins at the re-wake they were so far out of tune each of them alone nearly sounded like a banjo only squeakier. The two to gether must have been horrid. Try again when both are in tune - and if still sounding horrid, check against someone playing a guitar that is in tune.

If you play a chord and the relevant pentatonic scale on any instrument it should sound harmonic. Your instruments were probably out of kilter with each other, or more likely on the day your brains were out of ket with all that double vision stuff being consumed. Try an Am chord and play a C scale and change the chords using a C Am F G7 progression,or a D pento over a D Bm G A7 chord progression - endless hours of fun.

Kev: why the hell are you using Microsoft Entourage on a Mac.... What OSX are you using?...
Tiger and Leopard mail does it all, and safer.
regarding the two mandolins...i do have that prob with banjo and mando, it may be the mando strumming does not have enough depth in the full chord to blend well.

That s what Noah said was it not" Hmm-The forecast has got worse.

"Well thanks for that late forecast, That was Mr Richard Fish. in The Nags Head weather station Lower Stoke Kent?
...................................................................................
Kev The Clogs

do you remember in Vals garden at the wake we briefly got our Mandolins out and you played a D Chord and I played a D pentatonic scale and we couldn't get it to work right in fact to be honest we both sounded like tortured Cats?

Well it works when strummed on the guitar in D and played on the Mandolin in pentatonic D.
Why Mandolin and Mandolin do not work is beyond me but it works great with Guitar.
so lets try it again

Pat we will sort out Emails etc soon I love My Apple Mac but the hassle Im having setting up a Microsoft Entourage email account is a right Bloody Par-larva.

I have packed me bags and Im ready to go I am traveling very light to Knockholt this year
so light in-fact that i am getting there by train to Orpington and then the bus from Orpington to The Tally Ho pub which is walking distance or staggering distance to the camp site.

The bus is the R5 from Orpington Train Station and they run every hour but do not run on Sundays
I have got my new tent. 3 birth from Argos £29.99 you get a free sleeping bag + a free roll mat+ a free Ruck sack and lamp. Very good value.

Due to the traveling light I will only be bringing my Traveling Guitar which is small enough to fit in a Mandolin carry case the instrument has yet to be set up by the great guitar doctor, Brain Rogers so all the action is out with fret buzz and both me nuts are to big and need a good sanding down (painful)

But there are long hours In the early stages of Knockholt weekend where during the day it can get a wee bit boring so I might start a guitar workshop with anyone else who is interested.

Please note the usual Saturday afternoon session down the
Tally Ho is on this year starting with me and my great drinking partner Woodsie setting of to the tally Ho for opening time at 11am. By 200 oclock we usually have a packed out beer garden and a great afternoon.
so no moans that we all have buggered off down the pub. Early evening we all stagger backfrom the pub up the lane back to the camp site for The Saturday night round the bonfire all-night sing around.

Yesterday, I showed a colleague the Iris Dememt youtubie Let the Mystery Be (cuz I am learning it). Said she loves that kind of country music. Then told me she still has her single of You and Me and a Dog Named Boo up in her loft. So we googled it and listened to it.

In answer to your question, Pete - it was made a hit in the 70s or 80s by Lobo.

Do you remember the song" Me and you and a Dog named Boo? ( who wrote that)

How about Me and a Ewe in a tent for two,
I have a Blond wig and some Lips stick in a bag.

Or
Mick & Sue and a dog named Caspar,

I guess Richard I was Carnabetian.
I purchased my first and only full length Afagan Coat from there back in days beyond recall.
Its smelled to high heavan of Pee because that is how the goat pelts are cured.
Afagan tribes man dig a huge hole in the sand and pee in it and they soak the pelts in the pee to cure the pelt of ticks and other micro life.

My girl friend (The silly Moo) smothered Me Afagan coat in Petunia oil which only made it smell of sweet sickly smelling overpowering Pee.
Years on.
I stood to close to a candle and the fur fringes caught alight and that was the demise of my one and only Afagan.

Regarding the Sky falling down it has for some folk who think the above increase in Knockholt Fee,s is unjustified and there is even the Fandango that some folk are refusing to pay the increase?
In order to avoid any fiasco at this event, May I put it to you that the Treasurer of Folkmob makes a explanation to the increase so all the fuss it is causing can be
Firstly explained an debated on to boot.
I am wiling to pay the increase myself but feel a explanation who those to oppose the move is justified and so they should be appeased with WHY.?

For the attention of Ginger the Chicken.

You should be warned that Reynard Fox is quite the nefarious poultry smuggler. We at Agency for the Preservation of Barnyard Fowl have been tracking him for many years and have yet to collar the fellow.

He is suspected of running a whitemeat salver and cut rate cutlet ring. As yet we have not yet been able ascertain whether he is in league with Big Bad Wolf and Wile E. Coyote. So we are coordinating with PIG (Private Investigations General) and a feathered desert racer of some notoriety.

Please avoid Reynard Fox at all cost. If you have any information that might lead to the capture, arrest and conviction of this criminal, please contact me, by dropping an acorn on my head. Whereupon, I will raise the alarm, by running around, flapping my wings, squawking something unitelligible about the weight of the sky and the imminent doom of being crushed by it.

1. Leave the cumming to the bipeds.
2. Or possibly the sheep.
3. Ray Fox runs an agency selling solicitor's practices and is unlikely to be there. Anyone who can consistently rip off solicitors has to be fairly ferocious.
4. No, No, NO! It's "Shake a tailfeather, let me see you shake a tailfeather..."
5. I can be sure the sheep do not chase me. They might find me easy to catch.
6. The gate is about the same height as the fence round your garden, which you clear with ease.
7. Never mind the East Europeans, you be careful of that Chappox feller, if he invites you camping it is with intent (geddit?) - and you may also find an East Europeean in his tent, and he may be plucking her tailfeather... (but cooking yours)
