Subject: RE: Shammick Acoustic Sessions & workshop From: BB Date: 13 Apr 07 - 03:57 AM Well, the name did come from some Norman guy called Martin de Tours who was given the Combe after William the Conk took over, but we're twinned with Cormelles, not Lyon. Anyway, what do you mean, you didn't make it? - it's not happening until tomorrow! But you'd be welcome next time. Barbara |

Subject: Shammick Acoustic Sessions & workshop From: BB Date: 10 Apr 07 - 03:02 PM For anyone who's having a prolonged Easter break in the West Country - and with this weather many seem to be - Shammick Acoustic Sessions in Combe Martin, N. Devon takes place this Saturday evening, and all are very welcome to this anything-around. In the afternoon, there is a workshop called 'I Hate Using PA!' run by Doug Bailey of Wildgoose Studios. It's an extended version of the one he ran at Sidmouth last year, and it was surprising to see who attended! It's for anyone who has to, but doesn't like using PA, or who feels unsure of how to get the best out of it (and/or perhaps out of the sound engineer!), or who simply lacks confidence. If you want further details on either, or both of these, please PM me. Or if you're a guest, give me a contact on the thread, and I'll contact you. Incidentally, the Saturday night session doesn't use PA! Barbara |
