Subject: RE: Jez Lowe's New CD - Jack Common's Anthem From: GUEST,Nicholas Waller Date: 24 May 07 - 03:03 PM I don't think he is often in Somerset but he will be on June 8th, with the Bad Pennies, at The Old Down Acoustic Club at the Kings Arms in Litton, so I'm looking forward to seeing them there, for the first time. (Jez's gig page currently says it is in "Emborough"; that's where the club was originally, at the Old Down pub there, but it moved venue without changing its name... it's only 2-3 miles away but still... narrow country lanes and all, can cause confusion. I just dropped a note to Jez Lowe's sitemaster.) |
Subject: RE: Jez Lowe's New CD - Jack Common's Anthem From: MoorleyMan Date: 24 May 07 - 01:20 PM The man's a genius. Why he constantly gets ignored for the Folk Awards (in whatever context) is totally unfathomable. No justice, is there? |
Subject: RE: Jez Lowe's New CD - Jack Common's Anthem From: Susanne (skw) Date: 23 May 07 - 07:03 PM I heard him recently, wirth just Kate Bramley accompanying him, and bought his double CD 'Live at the Davy Lamp'. It's causing me serious problems as some of the songs are indeed earworms. I'm looking forward to the new album. |
