Smashing evening at Cottingham - we enjoyed it too, and Mike and Val have given us loads of new tunes to learn. Hooray!

Nick: I hope we'll be back at the Black Swan too. Better try and sort out a proper guest night. Drop hints to Roland!

Anahata

Enjoyed the couple of songs/tunes that you did at the Black Swan last night shame not to hear more. Next time perhaps. You both play really well and Mary has a lovely voice.

The good news is that I'm hoping to see Patty Larkin at the Mucky Duck in Houston Saturday night (if I can stay awake!). And maybe belt a couple out myself at one of the Sunday night open-mics downtown (if I can borrer a guitar). Nearest I'll ever get to being an International Star :-) :-)

Banjo and Cello - what a great sound, Lovely music and singing. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the evening. You and Faldingworth are in for a treat Les.

Time to pack my wellies and waterproof trousers - it's the Beverley (Float) Folk Festival, I think there'ss be lots of swimming as well as singing going to go on round here! It's still raining.
H. sorry for thread drift.

For anyone in Yorkshire who can't make it on Wednesday (better be a good excuse, eh Linda?) we're planning to drop in on the Black Swan at York on Thursday where they're having a singers and musicians night and hopefully we'll get a couple of songs and tunes.

Anahata

OK, right.

THIS is the thread to be.
Mary & Anahata are a class act I haven't seen for far too long.
(January, I think).
Their music is impeccably researched and, what's more, it's fun.
Oh dear. Cottingham's one hell of a long way.
Those who can, go.

I think they did the same, raid the website that is, because they did not ask me for one-I think it's been to pixel hell and back! Sure it won't scare the people away though!

In the other thread Linda says:
"We have a great spread in the local paper although when Mary sees her photograph she will probably die!!!"

What photograph? I thought we sent you one, or suggested you raid our web site for one. What could they have done with it?

(OK, we'll find out soon enough. As long as it bring the punters in...)
