Subject: RE: Are Any Mudcatters Members of RMMGA? From: Rabbi-Sol Date: 13 Jun 07 - 10:34 PM Hi Deb, I was introduced to this group by Arlene Boumel (Kol Isha), who hosted a house concert for you in Coral Springs, Fla. Arlene is a fantastic performer in her own right and has written some very touching songs. George Wirth, who just put out a new CD "The Lights Of Brigantine", is also a member of this group. They are really some great people and very knowledgable. SOL |

Subject: RE: Are Any Mudcatters Members of RMMGA? From: DebC Date: 13 Jun 07 - 06:59 PM I am I am!!!! :-) They are a very fun group of people and the thoughtfulness and caring attitudes of the regulars is pretty amazing. The gatherings are quite fun as well. Beware, though: hanging with these guys gives you a pretty bad case of GAS (Guitar Acquisition Syndrome). But seriously, there is quite a bit of collective knowledge on there when it comes to acoustic guitars. Besides the gathering in Virginia, there are also gatherings in the Pacific Northwest, Buxton, UK and Texas. Deb Cowan |

You then scroll down the alphabetical list of the Newsgroups until to come to the site, Recreation.Music Makers. Guitar. Acoustic Highlight it and click on subscribe. Subject: Are Any Mudcatters Members of RMMGA? From: Rabbi-Sol Date: 13 Jun 07 - 06:46 PM I have been recently introduced to a Newsgroup site, Recreation. Music Makers. Guitar. Acoustic (RMMGA). They have some very scholarly discussions on their forum just like we do here on Mudcat. They also have a yearly gathering in which all members get to present and perform their music. This year it was at Westmoreland State Park in Virginia and lasted 3 days. Are any of our members here also RMMGA members as well? SOL |
