It was a grand weekend - how DOES Steve manage to get the good weather for all his festivals?!

Lots of Mud Hugs, good beer and even more great music. As Michael said, it's great to see performers enjoying themselves - the audiences just couldn't sit still. It's not often I get up and jig but I did this weekend - thanks Duncan & Band, I ache now!

See lots of you again at Steve's next "gathering" - Otley Festival in September.

It was indeed a most excellent weekend.We were dubious about going after a mudbath in Stainsby last week. But aren't we glad we did!!
The weather was good, tho' not quite as hot as last year.

Everything Gerry and Chris have said and more.

It was great to see Dave Burland performing solo again and Pete Morton stepping in to replace Alan Taylor.

The Hall Brothers & Co and Duncan's bands were brilliant, sets performed with gusto by people who were obviously enjoying themselves.

I totally agree Gerry. It was brilliant. The pub was heaving all weekend, there was something different going on in every room and all of it was spontaneous fun. (The singarounds were fantastic)! Thanks to Steve for making it happen and the Landlord and staff for working so hard. Even the weather was great!

Yes I phoned a while ago and the person I spoke to went away and asked some one if the festival was on this year and then came back and said yes it was so there wasn't any point in asking him anymore!

As it is the landlord of the pub that is very involved in the organisation of this event (or he has been in the past) ... a phone call may well get you the info you need.

Thanks Nutty for your wellmeaning "clicky", but as Suzi rightly said the site's still not been updated.
In my experience, phoning a venue will rarely get a sufficiently detailed response re timings etc to enable plans to be made.

The landlord is having probs with the website at present - but keep an eye on it for an update.

Dates of this year's are as Gerry posted above (27th-29th July)
and this small but vibrant fest centres entirely round the hugs pub - the Green Dragon.
It's mostly free and very participant orientated (singers/musician sessions, dance teams etc)
Only the eve concerts to pay into (optional!)

This year sees the great Dave Burland in concert for a start!
I'll post more, soon, when I find out who else.....
