I found this on the 'Shotstalk' message board. Having spent the first 33 years of my life enjoying and participating in musical events in the Aldershot area (I now live in Kent), I hope that local readers might take the appropriate action.

If you've grown up in Aldershot it's quite likely you have been to the Westy and had countless good times there. Someone has taken it upon themselves to set up a petition to stop the council considering closing it down.
