Subject: RE: Who's going to Strawberry? (Calif - Aug 30-Sep 2) From: GUEST,TJ in San Diego Date: 22 Aug 07 - 01:33 PM I wish I could. I grew up in the area and worked on forest fire crews near Yosemite as a summer job. I still backpack and camp in the high Sierra each year and have been to this beautiful venue. If anyone's wavering, you won't be disappointed. I'd love to hear some reaction after the event. |

Subject: Who's going to Strawberry? From: open mike Date: 20 Aug 07 - 02:25 PM coming up on the last weekend of august, also it happens on the last weekend in may, U.S. holidays at the beginning (Memorial Day) and end (Labor Day)of summer. www.strawberrymusic.com this is one of the most wonderful festivals any where! Tickets sell out long in advance, so you should start planning NOW if you want to come next spring or fall. The location is Camp Mather in the high Sierra near Yosemite Nat'l Park and there are 3 outdoor stages, one indoors, which serves as breakfast dining hall, teen dance location and night club venue. The main stage has seating on the ground, and the main meadow is surrounded with booths for arts and crafts, luthier, music, clothing and beveredges. The concession area outside of the meadow has a large variety of food avaialable. The camp grounds are under the canopy of large trees and the stars are not obscured by city lights. there is an on-site radio broadcast which allows everyone to receive the music in their camp if they are not with in view of the stage(s) and there are workshops at the amphitheater and dances at the meadow by the lake (where there is swimming ) and then there is the music!! which is always the best! |
