We're sorry it took longer than expected, totally my fault. Life got in the way and it turned out to be real tricky to add the new Database without ruining all the links in the forum to the songs in the old Database. Anyhow, enjoy.

Thanks Susan. Figured might as well notify you when we find these things rather than try to remember later.

I well know the hazards of proofing large amounts of text. Remember I maintain my Gaelic Song files not just online, but a lot more of them on my computer. Continue to find little missed items here and there.

Needless to say - proofing of something with over 10,000 entries is an enormous and complicated task in itself.

Susan and Dick are fantastic people as people and fantastic folklorist as folklorists. The DT is a veritable treasure, and future generations will be thankful because so much that could have been lost will not have been lost thanks to their foresight and dedication. We can't touch the posted version (wish we could), so I make changes on the master for the next version. I already replaced the incomplete file for Hobnail Boots (weird) with the complete file earlier today. Thanx for pointing out the virgin sturgeon - mostly needed its filename changed, which is why there were problems displaying it.

Joe just mentioned on the DT upgrade thread that Jeff has the 2007 edition of the DT online.

There are 10,000 songs in the Feb07 edition, vs. 9,000 in the 2002 edition, roughly. We are at work on the next edition. I just cleaned up (for the next edition) the obvious problems from running this list for "Feb07" - capitalization in titles, duplicate files, lack of version number in titles, incomplete files
