CLAIRSEACH (ANN & CHARLIE HEYMANN). Ann and Charlie Heymann are the standard-bearers of the wire-strung harp, interweaving its distinctive sound with elements of harp folklore and mythology. Their performance will run the gamut from ancient chant, ceol mor, and planxties to dance music, ballads, humor, and improvisation. Fremont Baptist Church, Fremont. 7:30pm, $15.00. SKANDIA FOLKDANCE SOCIETY FIRST FRIDAY DANCE. Lamb CD Release Party: David Lamb and his daughter Barbara have recorded a CD of David's Scandinavian-inspired tunes, and will release the CD at Skandia's dance. The evening begins at 7:30 with instruction by Elaine Mathies and Larry Reinert in Polska från Nås, a lively, happy dance from western Dalarna. David and Barbara will play a set. SFS PRESENTS REBECCA RIOTS. Rebecca Riots, the trio Andrea Prichett, Lisa Zeiler and Eve Decker, return to the Northwest and the Seattle Folklore Society stage playing their special brand of upbeat, energized folk music. HARPISTS SHARLENE WALLACE AND PARK STICKNEY. Sharlene Wallace has melded her dance and art background with various harp traditions to create a sound and experience uniquely hers. Park Stickney, famous for his gleefully virtuosic performances on both pedal and lever harp, performs everything from Dave Brubeck and Sting covers to original works of exceptional style. Jamie Laval, champion Scottish fiddle player, and Ashley Broder, mandolin champion, are doing a concert this evening (Sat. Oct. 27) at the Music Center of the Northwest in north Seattle - traditional Irish and Scottish music.
