There is one that is in all the Girl Guides song books, the Little Owlet or Baby Owlet, which is adapted from the Spanish.

Found these:

From Preschool Express by Jean Warren

    ONE LITTLE OWL

One little owl when the moon was new,
Along came another owl, and that made two.
Two little owls perched high in the tree,
Along came another owl, and that made three.
Three little owls flew to the barn door,
Along came another owl, and that made four.
Four little owls lined up side by side,
Along came another owl, and that made five.
Five little owls hooted "Whoo, whoo, whoo,"
Then they all flapped their wings and away they flew.

From Preschool Forest Songs & Music

    Five Little Owls
    Submitted by Hollie
Five little owls on a moonlit night
Five little owls are quite a sight.
Five little owls Are you keeping score?
One flew away! And then there were Four.
Four little owls happy as can be,
One flew away then there were Three.
Three little owls calling Who, Who
One flew away and that left two.
Two little owls having lots of fun.
One flew away and that left One.
One little owl we are almost done
He flew away and that leaves none.

Subject: Lyr Req: lyrics for song one little owl
From: GUEST,Marcella Erskine

I run a small singing group for mothers and toddler in birmingham England. We are currently using the theam of forest animals in the group and I have many wonderful songs we sing. However, I am looking for the lyrics to a song I have heard before about one little owl said hoo, hoo.

I beleive this is a traditional folk song but I have been unable to find the lyrics anywhere. Does anyone out there know them and if so do you know anything about the songs origins or history

Thanks for your help
Marcella
