Just for the record, there are still Mudcat T-shirts (red or navy) available for $15; Mudcat patches ($5) and the entire wonderful Mudcat Blueplate Special CDs ($15 each, $50 for all five). Contact dick greenhaus at dick@camscomusic.com

All proceeds to the the Mudcat, of course.

if I did "win" an item and the proceeds were to go to mudcat would I pay that by paypal, Friends of the Mudcat or some other means

to which the answer is (usually) "yes". any means is suitable. sometimes the person offering the item wants it run by them first, but usually - pays your money, gets, your item.

eanjay - you can use paypal to pay for any auction winnings. There is a paypal address somewhere that someone will find for you - can't do it myself right now.

Mudcat tee shirts are still available in the UK at £11 each including p&p, blue or red in most sizes. Just PM me. All income goes into mudcat account.
Cheers Bill

I had some money sitting at Paypal as the result of a purchase that didn't come off. I figured, what the hell. Max could use it.

Merry Christmas to Max, his family, and the rest of the Mudcat family too.

MMario - I do make cell phone pouches - started when I needed to find a practical solution to diving for the phone in my bag when it rang.

Re Mudcat shlock - I can crochet those wonderful poodle loo roll covers that were so popular way back....when?

I've also got other patterns that I would love to try if I can find a market for them - covers for tissue boxes, dish detergent bottles......

Mary:

Would you be in support of developing a separate Auction area for Mudcat Shlock? I am thinking of such things as ceramic banjo-styled thunderjugs, battery-operated singing catfish, hand-tatted samplers with the words of Barbry Allen on them, and perhaps chaise-longue pillows embroidered with an image of Spaw's butt. Maybe an inflatable doll series showing the Mudcat Elite starkers and wrinkly, for grins.

Whaddya think? I just knew you were the person to ask, somehow.

I buy on the Auction regularly. Keeps several people happy - the donor, me, MAX and whoever gets the treasure.

Yes, as eanjay says Ukers can contribute by way of the UK donor system " Friends of the Mudcat" run by Volunteer Mudcatters which keeps the losses due to transfers and conversions to a minimum, contact John Routledge or me Or Giok MacKenzie and we will provide you with info. A substantial transfer of funds from the FoM was made in the last coupla weeks as part of the rgular payments! so dig deep and donate often as they say.

If you are in the UK you can also donate via Friends of The Mudcat - I contacted John Routledge.

Do you like this place? Do you find it a good way to keep in touch with friends and to find out what's happening around the world? Do you like a good argument discussion? Are you one of the minority who sends Max money regularly or occasionally? If not, why not take advantage of the end-of-year good feeling you get by giving to those in need? You can send money by PayPal to max@mudcat.org or by snailmail to:
