Its getting to that time of year. Mince Pies instead of Mince and Onions. Time to look back and look forward - but not at the same time.
Its nearly here- our Christmas celebration. Beats the rest. We have got a packed programme for you this year and well worth the £6 ticket.

The date 23rd December the time 7.30 pm
Our setting is in the wonderful surroundings of St.Hildas Parish Church, Danby. The perfect scene for a really Traditional Christmas celebration.

David Eagle ( Young Uns) will narrate this trip through Christmases Past. There'll be songs from Farndale Song Birds FOUR QUARTERS, Local lad RICHARD GRAINGER, THE WHITBY COMMUNITY CHOIR, WENDY ARROWSMITH.

We'll have music from Christine Williamson (Accordeon), Anna Shannon (Fiddle), Steve Dawes (Mandolin)and John Lawson (Whistle). Dancing from Jane Williamson.

From their appearances in 'The Moorland Whalers' we will have moorsmen Captain William Scorseby (Ian McNicol)and his first mate Levi Dawkin(Craig Apsley).

The young people of the Shoots n Roots project will perform a sword dance and mummers play and join in the songs. Members of the community will read some seasonal poetry.

Jeanette Grainger is preparing some tasty seasonal snacks and hot punch for the interval ! Its a beautiful old church - and very atmospheric.

Give us a ring if you'd like to know more or BOOK a Ticket 01287 660200. Everyone is working hard to make this happen - we hope you'll come and enjoy it. Compliments of the Season to you Yorkshire Wassail ( All The Team)
