But currently I have nothing to declare but my half witness

Sorry, I just couldn't help myself

>>Ahg ........... I am nearly a half wit!

How lucky you are to have positive goals to aim at. At some point in the future you could take over the mantle of Oscar Wilde

Nearly half a wit is a w, since it has 3 letters in it.

Even with two in my MudName, I'm still only a 2/3-wit.

To get it to work, you need to copy and paste your URL ie

http://www.folknorthwest.co.uk/

into the "Link URL" box in the Make a link page. You can then either leave the "Link Text" box blank or else also paste your URL into the "Link Text" box.

Then click on "Create Link" and paste the whole lot that appears in the new screen into the reply box.

It should then look like this: http://www.folknorthwest.co.uk/

It's always a good idea to preview before you finally submit your message.

Here's a step by step guide with pictures Les because I can't make it not work! With no text

1 Click on "Make a link ("blue clicky") "

2 Type or paste URL into top box (in this example - http://www.oxfam.org.uk/get_involved/fundraise/oxjam/index.php?ito=2415&itc=0) - Picture here: Image 1

3 Click onto "Create a Link" and you'll get something that looks like this: Image 2

4 Highlight everything as per this: Image 3

5 Paste into the Reply to Thread box where you want it and you are done. This is what your reply to thread page will look like: Image 4

Perhaps you could spare me two minutes of your time when you are in the folder I posted the pictures on (esnips). I wrote a little guitar tune (2 minutes long)and am trying to get some feedback as to how it sounds and whether it is strong enough as an instrumental tune (or needs words) - any feedback appreciated (good or bad) on any aspect of the tune, playing or recording. It's here. No pressure to do it, though :)

I can do it if I use the "preview" setting before I post. If I don't, I screw it up 8 times out of 10.

Works perfectly - http://www.youtube.com

Are you pasting the URL into the Text field rather than the URL field that will create a link to an empty URL which will take you back to Mudcat eg http://www.youtube.com

It's very hard to make it not work - it'd be interesting to see what people do to break it

Never a problem but then I'm a geek. Welcome to the Blue Clickerati.

If I'm ever near Stockport, I'll drop in.

yes, except when I accidentally miss the beginning or end of the line when copying; which you must do twice, so that gives two chances to mess up

Having failed to make Blue Clicky Things work I now seem unable to create new threads, but here goes again.

Folk Clubs in Stockport, South Manchester and Cheshire

Will this work?
