Subject: RE: Tech: New computer and no cookie From: JohnInKansas Date: 13 Jan 08 - 08:35 PM Go to the Threads Index page (Lyrics and Knowledge at the top of this page). The box at the top right probably shows "Quick Links." Click the arrow to roll down the menu. Click "Log In," and then the "Go" button. Enter your mudcat name and password and click submit. You don't indicate what kind of new computer, but with Windows and Internet Explorer, you may have to go to IE "Tools," click "Internet Options," click the "Privacy Tab" and then click the "Sites" button. Type mudcat.org in the box and click "Allow." Since mudcat doesn't have a "security certificate" your browser (IE or other) may prevent accepting a permanent cookie, which is what allows you to be logged in when you come back, unless you "approve" mudcat first. Subject: Tech: New computer and no cookie From: GUEST,Bearheart Date: 13 Jan 08 - 08:27 PM Help! I have a new computer and don't know how to get my Bearheart ID onto it. What do I do? I haven't been posting in a while either due to time constraints so I'm sure I have been "archived". Thanks Bekki PS email is still the same, healing@frognet.net |
